JoAnna Christine Daniels is the author of eight novels and currently finishing a ninth. She recently completed a screen play for her third novel, Fate of Angels, a limited TV series.
Although born in Southern California, she was raised on a farm in Idaho, which comprised everything from horses & cows to chickens & pigs. Her summers were spent climbing trees and observing the world from the comfortable branches of her favorite oak or maple trees ... when not at the lake water skiing or tubing down the Boise River. During those eight years in Idaho, JoAnna cared for animals with her six brothers and sisters, milking cows, grooming her calf for the fair, riding her Morgan horse, Doll, and tending the quarter-acre garden with her mother.
Relocated to Europe at the age of 14, by way of a voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, and again in the early years of her marriage, her life has been a bouillabaisse of adventurous experiences. Having lived in Europe for five years of her life, she has traveled extensively and speaks three languages
At the age of fifteen, JoAnna attended school in France for a year at the Lycee Jean Zay in Orleans, France, as well as a year in Germany at the Gymnasium fur Madchen in the small town of Ludwigsburg. After that, returning to Southern California to live felt more like a vacation!
After a twelve-year sojourn in Southern California in the early 2000's, she returned to her beautiful state of Colorado in 2015, where she enjoys spending time with her three sons, her daughter-in-law, her grandson, Jackson, and identical twin grand-daughters, Charlie & Sofia. JoAnna loves hiking in the foothills of the Rockies, camping, horseback riding, and gardening, and she has been an avid reader since the age of eight.
JoAnna attended Loyola/Marymount University in Los Angeles with an English major and a minor in Foreign Language. It is her love of history, which prompted her to write historica fiction/romance.

BUT WHY DO I LIKE HISTORICAL SETTINGS??
Doing the research, deciphering the past, is the most fascinating aspect of any book I am writing. Finding a way to fit my fictional characters into the mix, and make it interesting, is the fun part... jcd
